Kohinoor is the most famous diamond in the world. Kohinoor means “Mountain of Light”. Another name of Kohinoor is Padshahnama. It was found in the Godawari River in South India some 4,000 years ago.

At the time its recent history began in the 14th century, the Kohinoor weighed 186 carats. It was believed that it was to be hazard to the life of the man who owned it. But, the curse did not apply if the owner was a woman.

Today, the Kohinoor is a part of the British crown jewels. It is placed in The Tower of London under the tight security.

India has made many demands to return the historical prestige(Kohinoor) of it, But British always refused to oblige.
