Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today clarified that he had allowed a discussion on “Future of Indian Sports” in the House on the coming Tuesday, and not the issue of exclusion of Saurav Ganguly from the Indian team.
He categorically said that Saurav’s issue won’t be allowed to be raised during the discussion in the Lower House.
From the time the decision of Ganguly’s exclusion was announced, his fans had been organising protests on the streets of Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal.
