Using the average 0.5 millimeter lead, Ravi, a goldsmith based in Bangalore, carves out intricate masterpieces using the tools of his trade.
The hobby, which he has been practicing for the last three years, soon became a passion with each passing day and every miniature made.
Ravi has so far made 350 miniatures in lead and finds the idea of selling his art derogatory. He says the last “offer” he refused for one of his prized miniatures was nearly 2,200 US dollars.
Ravi also says he is open to training young children and adults in the fine art though would appreciate some government help in the venture.
