Train fell into river killed 40 people in Andhra Pradesh

The coaches of a passenger train fell into a rain-swollen river, killing at least 40 people in southern India.

Around 100 injured passengers had been rescued from the seven coaches after floods washed away the tracks in the town of Veligonda in Andhra Pradeshstate. (more…)

Chennai experienced 42 cm of rain in 40 hours

After being battered by heavy rains, Chennai city had some respite from the rains, following bright sunshine today, friday. The weather office said the deep depression, which lay centred 150 km northeast of Chennai, was moving in a northwesterly direction and was likely to cross between Nellore and Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Sania moves to 31st

The Hyderabadi Hurricane, Sania Mirza is now at the 31st position in the latest rankings.

Earlier she was at 37th position. This is the highest ranking of Sania’s career.

She is now preparing for the Thailand Open starting this week in Bangkok.
