An Insight into Hindu Religion

Hindu religion is the third largest religion in the world. It has been the topic of debacle and often drawn the attention of people all over the world. Hindu religion holds a very eminent place in India.

There are more than thousand small and big God and Goddesses which are worshipped in different part of the country. People of India hold a great faith in religion and spare no opportunity to be part of the festival that are held at different point of time in different communities.

Whether it is “Dusherra” or “Diwali”, every festival has some legend behind it. The great epics of “Ramayana” and “Mahabharata” which give teachings on the truth and values are considered valuable in today’s world where corruption and dishonesty is making a place everywhere. In Hindu religion, three Gods rule the world. Brahma: the creator, Vishnu: the preserver and Shiva: the destroyer. Ganesh, who has an elephant’s head and also the son of Shiva and Parvati, Hanuman, who is ape and also the son of surya, Indra, king of Gods and Parvati, Goddess also hold very honorable place.

A unique fact that has been noticed, while studying various religious aspects is that different family members may be worshipping different Gods and Goddesses, but they honor each other choice and do not indulge in religious conflicts. Often Hindu religion draws a true picture of unity with lots of diversity, which can be an example for the rest of the world.
