Different Styles Of Indian Suits For Women

India has a rich heritage of clothing. Travel all over India and you will find completely different clothing in different states for both men and women. Among the many gorgeous traditional wear for women, the Indian suit or salwar kameez is popular across different parts o f India. The interesting part is each place and time has added its own twist to this evergreen outfit. Here is a list of the most popular ones.

  • Kurti: It is perhaps the latest evolution of salwar kameez and is ruling the world of fashion for quite a long time. The uniqueness of kurti is that you do not need to carry a dupatta with it. You can get kurtis in long, medium and short length to create different styles. The short ones can be worn with jeans and skirts, the long ones are generally worn with leggings or Patiala pants.
  • Punjabi suit: This type of suits is richly adorned with traditional designs. The upper part or the kurta is long; generally reaching below the knee and the lower part called salwar is loose fitting and made using lot of fabric. The dress is completed with a matching dupatta.
  • Churidar Kurta: The uniqueness of this style lies in its tight fitting pants. The pants are actually a lot longer than you would need and hence when worn the extra length forms folds at ankle. These folds look like bangles and this is how it gets the name ‘churidar’.
  • Patiala Salwaar Suit:Patiala Salwaar is a puffy pleated salwar made from lot of fabric. Worn with a short kameez, this beautiful drape looks gorgeous.
  • Plazo suits: These suits are unique in their own way. The plazo plant is a loose fitting pant which is slightly tight on the upper portion and generously flared on the lower part. It adds an edge to the traditional kameez. You will also find different styles of kameez of late; some of them are made of sheer material or have a front slit so that you can show off your pretty plazo. Now you have the facility of plazo suits online shopping to surf through a wide range and pick the one that suits you best.
  • Pakistani Suits:It is the traditional wear of pathos of Kabul and that is where it gets its name from. Both men and women wear salwar and long kurta that reaches well below the knee. The designers have used beautiful material, colours and designs to take this regular wear to a whole new level.
  • Anarkali Suits:This is a gift that the Mughal reign has given to Indian fashion. Going through several stages of evolution, Anarkali remains to be one of the most loved dresses for parties and marriage ceremonies. The upper part of the kameez is well fitting with a flared hemline, forming an a-shape.

Indian ladies suits are available in different styles to suit different occasions and body types. It is feminine, graceful and comfortable at the same time.
